The Sunday After

I quilted the fabrics I am using for my daughter's bd present this morning. I tried a little freemotion quilting on it. Not sure it looks good, but hopefully will be ok once done. The top photo is the back, so will be hidden, thank goodness.
I find this very difficult to do. I was mostly trying to do some echo quilting in sort of an art-quilt-like way, though I did get a little carried away on those small circular pieces. I need lessons!!! (If I call it art quilting, can I get away with anything, even if it looks bad? LOL)

Love the bag! The colors, fabrics, and the quilting! I think it looks really good. Know how you feel though I did a throw size quilt for my dd it was simple. Three different lengths of the same width strips/blocks. Forget the name...cobblestones, court house steps...anyway it was all pink and brown prints. My first machine quilting on regular sewing machine...I did something different on each piece. Mainly echoing or an outline of the design...it looked ok on the front side but the backside it was strange!!! I wasn't pleased...she was delighted and people who have seen it like it.

I do not know how I missed this post but your quilting looks nice. I love your fabric selection. I too have tons of kaffe fassett fabrics.
