The last row...

I made another cottage last night and finished the last row on the cottage quilt. Now I have to do some thinking on how I want to finish it. It is sort of large for a wallhanging...

The sashing rows in between are from one of those landscape prints so are all similiar but different.
I thought about using some of that as a border too. What do you think would look good?

I think it would make a good border to separate the houses from the border since there are so many different color houses. It's looking good.

It kind of makes a little neighborhood. Can you add some borders that are reminiscent of something else you'd see in a neighborhood? Blue sky, sidewalk, something? Add a couple of borders and it could get close to bed-sized, I'd think.

You got some good suggestions...can't think of anything else. Your post brought up a question in my mind, though. Sometimes I end up with projects that are TOO big for any wall where I could hang them, but not big enough for a throw (or don't lend themselves to that). What DO people do with such pieces...ones that are too big for the wall but not big enough for anything else? I need some ideas as I do have such sized pieces and don't want to just hide them away and not enjoy them.

It turned out beautiful Jean, I love it. I like Angie's suggestion, you could add childrens swings, slides or just road/street
