Busy weekend... class, party, a hanging....

I taught the Circle and Spin class again on Saturday...it is so much fun to teach, just to see the range of fabrics and the designs you can make. We had batiks...
 oldies but goodies...
 brights....
 more batiks...
 homespuns...
 more batiks....
and more brights....one of them did get away without getting her picture taken, but I will get it one of these days!

After the class, I went to the 3rd birthday party of my great nephew at Amazing Pizza Machine. I hadn't been there before, but it truly is an amazing place.

For those of you who check for upcoming classes here, I haven't gotten that page updated yet, but will soon. I hung the Jigsaw Puzzle quilt yesterday at the store....that class is being offered twice in April.
I used multi colored bright thread on this quilt and really like how it turned out. I still need to quilt the Spinning Hexagons that I made during the retreat. Might use the same thread as it is lots of color.

What a fun class! I too enjoy seeing students fabric choices come together in a design! The puzzle class looks like a lot of fun too!!

More gorgeous quilts -- great job, everyone! I really love your jigsaw puzzle quilt, Jean, especially the loose pieces in the border! Too cute!

Did you applique the blocks in the border of the puzzle quilt? It's really cute.

Finally finished the circle & spin except for the border. I picked it out a few days ago.

Also have almost all of my lava lamp together. Just need to make a few 1/2 blocks for the ends. I didn't have the layout directions when I was working on it so I did it about 95 x 80 (I think) and decided to make more blocks for the ends to get it to that size. I had a few blocks left but they were too light for the look I wanted. The outside is all darker blocks and the center is pretty light. I also found a really great green border. (I love green) and it will really set off the green in the blocks of the quilt.

I'll post them on the blog soon. Need some help holding them to take a pic.
