Pieced border

I got this strippy border sewed on to the St Marks quilt yesterday. I put a small dark blue floral border, then the strippy border. Next is another border of the dark blue floral and it is finished!

Haven't gotten any sewing done yet today, but might later. I spent the day cleaning and fighting my ant war. I thought I had them under control, but this morning there were around a million crawling all over the stove, counter and wall. It is war now. I have used several different ant traps, and they seem to work for awhile. I have never had this much trouble with them. The traps are all the type that are supposed to be carried back to the nest. Several people recommended Terro, so I bought some today and put it outside and inside. They seem to like it as they are swarming all over it. I'll get you, my little pretties! (I hope!)

Sorry, can't spell or is it type, borders should be the correct spelling.

Hopefully, the "boarders" aren't ants on the quilt!! I don't know if you have this problem, but the only time we have trouble with ants in our house is when we have lots of rain. It's like they get rained out of their underground home, they head indoors. We've always tried multiple things, but the only thing that truly worked is dry days. Do you have windows in your kitchen? Would spraying around them help? Ours always come in our family room...through some kind of opening around the sliding glass door.

I hate ants...We used those traps but we had to get some granules to put outside around the house to take care of the problem. I don't remember the brand but we bought it at WallMart and it was supposed to get rid of a varity of insects, ticks fleas, ants ect.
