Pincushions for the quilting queens....

I have a fascination for small pincushions and if I had more time, I would make more of them. They are just fun to have and to use. I made these to take to my retreat for everyone. Then I made some fancy pins to put in each one. I have seen these lately, and wanted to try making them.
You just use beads, long pins and glue. On some of them I used hatpins and corsage pins that I had, but I didn't really like the large ball on top.
So I used some of my 1 3/4" glass head pins to make the rest of them. They are fun to make, but sort of messy.
Some of the other ladies got the quilting queen signs they found while on a shopping trip. We tried to live up to the name!

Have you tried making these fancy pins?
