Modern Cathedral Windows

I taught the first session of the Modern Cathedral Windows Pillow class last Thursday. I usually teach it in one long class, so it will be interesting to see how much they get done by tomorrow night.

I did a demonstration last week on making this block the traditional, hand sewn way. Most of them were happy to be doing it on their sewing machines, though I did have a couple of people there that love to hand piece so they might eventually try it. One student brought a sampler of three blocks that she had hand sewn many years ago and given up!

I saw Phyllis yesterday and she said that she has this version of her black and white pillow finished and is working on another, slightly different version! She is making them to match her bed.

I saw Anne Monday night during a different class and she brought her pillow finished!
She also brought her finished Lotus quilt. I really love this two color version!
I have lots on my to-do list today, so I had better get started!
