A Bag Giveaway....and the Ugly Quilt Contest!
I have entered the Ugly Quilt Contest at Bloggers Quilting Gallery. Please vote for me if you are not involved yourself!!!! I would really appreciate it. Mine is called "My First Quilt, a Quilting Disaster!" There is a little story there of how this poor quilt came to be a disaster.
Call me the Bag Lady if you want, but a few years ago I was doing a few craft fairs and made a bunch of bags/purses. I didn't sell all of them, and since I no longer do craft fairs, they have been sitting here waiting for a new home. Plus I have been wanting to do a giveaway to celebrate 200 posts. So, in the tradition of Pat and others who are redistributing the wealth, I thought I would give them away. These bags have never been used, are several different sizes and shapes & I will try to post a new one every day.
There is only 1 rule...you have to want this bag for yourself or a friend/daughter to use to enter.
Just comment on the days you would like to be entered for that bag. If you want to comment but don't really need a new bag, you can say that too. For example, the people who comment on today's bag will have a chance to win today's bag. If you come along several days into the giveaway, and like a previous bag, you can still enter, just comment on that post. I will not draw the names until I am finished posting all the bags. You can enter every day if you want.
I actually have 2 Blondie bags, they are identical. Both have a nice magnetic snap closure & bead trim. There are pockets all around the inside of the bag to hold your goodies. So for the first day giveaway, you have 2 chances to win!
Sewmeow is still adding stuff to her giveaway over on her blog, go check it out.
I remember Dagwood and Blondie! Would love to win the bag!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh how fun Jean! I don't think there is a woman alive who could have "too many bags!!!" This one is adorable, so please put my name in the hat!!! Tk you and welcome back.
ReplyDeleteThanks sew much! It's adorable & I would love a chance to win a Blondie Bag by Jean. I'm going to post on mine for yours...tee hee. Also, thanks for still mentioning my Birthday giveaway too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tote, Jean! I would love this bag for myself, but I have a feeling that my oldest granddaughter would do her best to get it away from me!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be the happy new owner of this bag!
ReplyDeleteJean I voted for you.
ReplyDeleteYou now have another vote ... have fun! TTFN ~Marydon

What a cute bag~ my DD would love to have a 'Blondie' bag as she is often called just that! :-) Thanks for a fun giveaway. You have a really nice blog!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be the winner of this cute bag. Dagwood & Blondie were a favorite comics couple of mine. Either I or one of my twin daughters would be happy to be the new owner.
ReplyDeleteI'm heading over to vote for your quilt right now.
I'm a firm believer that there isn't such a thing as an ugly quilt. It is a matter of the eye of the beholder. There is always someone out there that may treasure it as is, or the quilt may require some tweaking (e.g. cut it up and make a stuffed rabbit or bear out of it, or add other fabrics, or turn it into a doll quilt). Sew many ideas and opportunities.

The quilt looks like one that I tried to do for my niece that had glow in the dark Noah's ark.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome away.....I love the bag, it is so cute...would love to win it...
ReplyDeleteNot entering to win the bag....just letting you know I voted for your quilt! I hope you win.
ReplyDeleteAwesome bag....I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI think the blondie bag is right for my daughter. She's going to school to become a make-up artist and could use it for some of her supplies. Oh how she'd love it. I'm posting your giveaway on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Blondie Bag and I would be selfish and keep for myself.
ReplyDeletelove your bags especially the blondie bag. I also would be selfish and keep it for myself.
ReplyDeletejust voted for you Jean! good luck! Gosh, I remember reading Dagwood and Blondie years ago lol... I guess that dates me a bit doesn't it Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful purse! I would definitely use it myself! I love Blondie and remember buying the comic books and reading them and re-reading them! Do you know they still make them, but they are smaller now :( They look like pocket books instead of large like magazines. I like this style of purse and the accent of Red and the beading!. You can put alot or a little into them!! Great Job. :)
