A reader noticed this week that when I commented on their blog, it came up as a no reply comment. I have commented many times on her blog, so she went back to a comment I posted a few days before to get my email address and let me know. I'm not sure if there was an update between March 11 and March 14, but somewhere in that time frame it changed to no reply comment.
So I went on a search of the new blogger interface to see if I could figure out how to fix it. In the old version, you could go to your Dashboard, click on profile, edit profile, then "check" the show my email box. The Dashboard is now called Overview, so I started there, going through every option there was. No luck. I tried Blogger Help, no luck. I had joined my blog with my google id several months ago, so thought maybe that had something to do with it....no luck. I thought about emailing blogger, but I knew that someone out there in blogland would know how to fix this, and I would probably get a quicker response.
Has anyone else had this problem this week? Does anyone have a way to fix this? I would appreciate any help you can give!
Like you I had to change mine not long ago... but something has changed. I went in to see If I could do what I did to mine and I can't find it.. Sorry I cant be of help.
ReplyDeleteGo the the Google Dashboard and click on Edit Personal Information in the first section on the page. The email link is there.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get to the Google Dashboard, click on Edit Peronsonal information and the email link is there. I got there by clicking on my name on the main page (upper right corner)then clicked on accounts, and then under Other tools right hand column I got to the Dashboard.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that when people sign up for Google+, that they become no-reply bloggers. Seems that you can no longer reach them unless you also sign up to Google+, which I don't want to do, since I don't want to become a no-reply blogger. Good luck. I'm on the 'old' version of blogger. So many people complained about the problems after they 'updated' that I just didn't update. Why can't they just leave things alone.
ReplyDeleteI was just e-mailing you to tell you that you came across as a "no reply" blogger. I tried to respond to your comment - just now - and it still says you are a "no reply" blogger.
