A little taste of India

My daughter recently went on a Habitat for Humanity trip to India. She helped build houses in 100 plus degree heat and had a great time doing it. She loves to travel! She brought back this gorgeous pillow and cute bead necklace for me. The workmanship is beautiful! I think I will hang it instead of make a pillow out of it. I have a spot close to my computer that will work perfectly.

I spent all day yesterday writing patterns so there was no sewing going on. I am happy to have gotten lots done, though.

Today I'm teaching the Kids Camp Topsy Turvy Pillow, so I'm looking forward to that. Plus the Sunbonnet Sue Sampler Club meets for the last time tonight....they are going to pick a new sampler to start working on next month! I plan on sewing in between classes. Happy Monday!

  1. Love the elephant and your idea to hang it is perfect!
I live in Canada but my Dad was born in Souix City, Iowa. My grandparents moved here when he was 5yrs old (1930/31)
