Here is the Lone Star after I finished the corners and triangles yesterday. I don't really think the background is quite this orange, I thought it was a rich tan when I bought it. I finished the top, and started quilting it today.
You can see Smokey approves....I had a hard time laying it out flat as she thought she should help....she will really like it after it is quilted!
I have been quietly lurking in your blog for some time and I just love your work...so creative! You have inspired me to begin quilting myself as I love craft & sewing but have yet to try my hand at quilting...
ReplyDeleteJean is this one for a class or for you? Is it a lap or queen size?
ReplyDeleteYou did such a beautiful job. I hope one day I too can conquer one.
It's looking really good! Maybe Smokey wants to help???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Jean. I've not done a Lonestar yet. It's on my GDTOS (gotta do this one someday)list.
ReplyDeleteLove your choice of colors, too!
The top looks great! I can't wait to see it all quilted!
ReplyDeleteThe striped fabric you were not sure about... Looks great.
ReplyDeleteSmokey looks very comfortable.
Beautiful colors! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along beautifully Jean!
ReplyDeleteI wish I were quilting. I did get to sew four bibs tonight.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous top by the way. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.
Good Job! Lone Stars can be a challenge. Thanks for the tip about not ironing til it's done. I can see her point.
