I spent yesterday sewing with friends, and got several things finished, including the Asian Bits and Pieces trio. I am happy to have these off of the shelf and ready to hang or bead, still haven't decided about the beading. When I pieced them, I wanted three different size pieces that would go together using the face blocks I had purchased. I have also made pillows out of these to match an asian inspired Circle and Spin quilt for my daughter, Rachel.
I also hemmed a t-shirt, and pieced the back for my daughter Wendy's new quilt so it is ready to load on the machine. We found a beautiful purple batik for the backing. It's easier to cut a large back like this at the store....they have big tables. At home I always have trouble with it sliding off the counter on one end while I measure from the other. I think I will quilt the string pieced quilt first, and then load this one.
Diana got lots more Wonky Stars finished and started putting the rows together. Dianne finished her Lotus quilt top...lots of flowery goodness!
There were others there, but I didn't get any more pictures because I forgot to take them until the end.
Today is another Kids Camp making the Cobblestone Pillow. Should be fun!
