Lots and lots of peas, sewing and fun...

Saturday's Peas in a Pod class went very well! I had quilters of all skill levels in this class, so it was a bit of a challenge to make sure they all learned what they needed to know to be successful.
This quilt is definitely a great one for beginners to learn simple cutting and piecing skills, but I think all of us enjoy making something eye catching with many beautiful fabrics.
I got a bit carried away taking pix this time, but at least I didn't forget until the last minute!
It's always fun to see the blocks start to go up and for everyone to see what each set of fabrics will look like.
Adam accompanied his mom and did a bit of sewing while she cut. He also helped out on the iron!

Some of these quilters could've mixed and matched their fabrics!

Now for some arrangements!

You can see they got lots finished!

I'm always curious to see the finished quilts, so I hope they bring them back and show me!

I got the hexie pillow top sewn together last night. It is very reminiscent of the Tumbling Blocks and Hollow Cubes, Too quilts in how it goes together, which is not surprising since with those patterns you are basically putting together split hexies. I will post pix of it tomorrow

Wonderful classroom at Cut Up & Quilt. I even know two of the people in your class and they both had a great time! I'm going to have to take this class sometime if you offer it again.
