Still sewing diamonds...and a helper

I have to admit that on my first day off for summer break I didn't work too hard. I did a few things outside, and sewed a few more diamonds together.
I am sewing 2 of each combination right now. I didn't cut the exact amount needed because I wasn't sure about some of the mediums and lights, so I have leftovers of a lot of them. Once I get all the first combinations  finished, I will see if I can re-pair some of them up. I have some lights I haven't used at all yet, but I think I will need some more mediums, just to make it interesting.
Luckily, I happen to be going quilt shop hopping today with friends, so I might be able to find a few.
When I sew, Smokey likes to come sit by me...of course she has to sit right there on the cabinet! Last night her tail kept swishing back and forth, I was afraid I was going to sew her into my block! I guess I need to move the pile of pieces  (on the left) somewhere else so that I can move her over a little.

Smokey is adorable! My kitty likes to sit in the chair behind me when I sew.
