Ok, here are the 5 blocks I have finished. I have 3 more to do, then I can put it together. That square of tannish fabric is the background I picked out for the background the other night. I like how it looks with the outer points, as well as the inner. Once I get the setting squares and triangles cut out, I will take another pic, as I realize that I should've hung it closer to the outer points, but I don't want to keep messing with those diamonds as they are pretty stretchy at this point. I spent a lot of time agonizing over the colors, and the order they should be in. I wanted them to blend to some extent, but also to stand out, if that makes sense.
The first full week of school went well. I am ready for the weekend, though. I am going to Earling tomorrow to visit and attend a little party for my niece's 21st birthday. Should be fun!

So far, it's looking very good.
Oh it is going to be so pretty.
This is really wonderful.Your careful planning is certainly paying off!
Wow, spectacular. I have never made one of those. I like the way they contrast against the white design wall. I imagine it will be nice with the darker color background too.
Oh Jean, this is going to be beautiful! I love the colors!
Great colors it is turning out well. Have fun at the party.
It is coming along beautifully. I love the order you put the colors in. You eye is drawn from the middle out. Great background choice. You Rock!!!

Have a great time Jean.
I just love your lone star. Can you come here and teach classes?
Ok, you have out done yourself. This one is is wonderful. I give you credit you really push yourself to do the more difficult ones.
Most kids in Minnesota don't start school until Sept 8th.
This is simply FAB!! Jean....
I am watching carefully because this is on my 'to do' list... are you having to fight with the bias stretch? That is my biggest fear.
I'm enjoying watching your progress on this lone star. The background you've chosen will be striking with it.
Looks fantastic! And difficult!
