I finished the tabletopper Friday night, so quilted it today. It is only about 30" x 30" so it didn't take long. I even got the binding on so it is actually finished.

A little progress...
I have a new class of beginners starting tonight, so that should be fun. I haven't met them yet...tonight will be the intro and learn to use the rotary cutter, as well as pick out fabrics together. I like to do that with the beginners, as a lot of people have difficulty picking out fabrics and if we go out together they get to know each other a bit too.
That's about it for now.

Cute little trees and the Lone Star pattern....
I made these cute little trees last night. I am using them on a wintery tabletopper I am working on.
Several people have asked about the Lone Star pattern I used on my quilt. It is called Lone Star by Jackie Robinson. Darlis at Quiltinghorizon.com is featuring it on her home page & offering a special right now when you purchase a pattern...free shipping with your order! All you do is type in the free shipping code...which is Jean...how cool is that? She is also going to start carrying the Mexican Star pattern. You might remember when I made that last winter. She actually has lots of nice patterns at reasonable prices. Check out her webstore!

It's official.....

It's been a busy week...I had classes on Mon and Wed night, then Tues night I worked all night on a pattern for Saturday's class......yes, I should've had it done sooner, but I've been busy, ok? Last night we celebrated my middle daughter's birthday...my 2 daughters that live in the area came over and we relaxed in the back yard with pizza and margaritas. (Angie and Colin, we missed you!) That was nice. I have the Kaleidoscope Blitz class tomorrow, that should be fun. Then who knows? I still have that Lone Star to bind...have a great weekend!

Ta Da!!
I actually quilted all day. I have been working on a design for a fall runner, and finished it last night, so put it on the machine and quilted it after the Lone Star. I will post more about it later. I don't usually quilt class models as there is always a time constraint, but wanted to quilt the Lone Star as I didn't want it hanging on display without quilting. I was afraid it would start to sag because of all the bias seams. I knew the runner wouldn't take too long to quilt, so just did it too.

Friday & Lone Star progress!!!
I got a new camera last weekend, so these are my first pix on it. I think I am going to like it.
I am getting together with friends tonight for our stitch and chat so that will be fun. I am going to work on a fall runner I started this week. We also have cottage blocks to exchange.
BTW, that is not a mess in the back corner, but a storage area....that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

More on signs...

You really can order street signs, here is one of the places if you want to check it out. For a 5" x 18" sign, the cost would be about $18.00. You could have the same thing printed on both sides for about $23.00. What a cute gift for someone for their garden!
What is everyone doing this long weekend? I hope to get back to some quilting. Will let you know how that goes.

Not much going on.....
I haven't done any sewing so far this week. I rearranged & cleaned my little room where I "live"Monday night.....it has my sewing machine, computer and tv in it, so all my stuff! I got a different rocking/recliner chair to put in there (which is very comfy, I must say), and took out the futon. We took it to my daughter's last night. She wanted it for her spare room. It makes the room look bigger and roomier, as it really isn't very big. Plus I didn't put the futon in the basement to store, but actually got it out of here. So I was happy about that...there is enough junk down there. I was using some stackable drawers under it for storage, so they are now stacked up until I figure out if I want them out there or just put them upstairs
That's about it for now.
