Sunday Sewing with my pals

I spent all day Sunday sewing and watching episodes of The Closer (love that show!). I finished the Sparkling Prisms quilt and went back to the flying geese project. I may eventually finish this one...

if I don't have to keep doing as much unsewing as I do sewing.

I no sooner started working on it than Conrad came along to help. He settled in pretty quickly and fell asleep.
It's pretty hard to sew with a cat on your quilt.
It seemed a shame to wake him up. It's sort of like when they get comfy on your favorite chair. Do you make them move, or sit somewhere else?

Not much going on.....

Mama Kitty was helping me take pix the other day...so I took a few of her...she kept moving around so they all turned out blurry except this one.

I haven't done any sewing so far this week. I rearranged & cleaned my little room where I "live"Monday night.....it has my sewing machine, computer and tv in it, so all my stuff! I got a different rocking/recliner chair to put in there (which is very comfy, I must say), and took out the futon. We took it to my daughter's last night. She wanted it for her spare room. It makes the room look bigger and roomier, as it really isn't very big. Plus I didn't put the futon in the basement to store, but actually got it out of here. So I was happy about that...there is enough junk down there. I was using some stackable drawers under it for storage, so they are now stacked up until I figure out if I want them out there or just put them upstairs

That's about it for now.

Really nothing to post about....but aren't my kitties cute?

I have been back to work and teaching quilt class every night this week. It is a little much, but it is just how it worked out. Tonight was the first night for Beginning Quilting. I had fun meeting the ladies. They learned how to rotary cut and we picked out fabrics, so are ready to begin sewing next week.

Now I think I will follow the kitties' example and head for bed!

It's almost Friday, does that count?

You might remember me talking about the quilt and bag I made my great nephew after he went fabric shopping with us.I posted a pic of the quilt. This is the bag I made out of the leftover fabric. I saw him Sunday, so gave it to him. He loved it! The quilt rolled up fits in the bag with room left for pjs. The checkerboard is pockets around the bottom.

Here is the new model for the Beginning Quilting class that I do at the store. The Kitty 9 patch is softer colorwise than the last few BQ models I have done, but I love the kitties. Hopefully others will as well and it will attract them to the class. I am not going to finish it now, just the top as they are easier to hang this way.

Went fabric shopping with my friend tonight. Had a good time picking out fabric for her next quilt. She found a gorgeous large leafy print in pinks, purples and reds....very nice. Luckily I have plenty here to work with so resisted buying any new this time. Whew!!!! yes it's a miracle!

TGIW

It's been busy the past few days. I had class Sat, Mon and Tues. I did make a new model for the Beginning Quilting Class. It is cute- kitties, kitties and more kitties. I will post a pic when I get a good one. I need to get a line-up for fall classes firmed up, so that means I need to get busy sewing....
