I haven't done much sewing the past few weeks, so it was fun to work on a small project the other day. I wanted to make a little quilty gift for the teacher librarian that helps all of us elementary library clerks in our school district (there are twelve!).
Before I knew it, I had the letters for her name ready.
I added a little border and quilted it. I think I should've put a white border all around her name, but it was getting sort of big for a mug rug, so I didn't.
Tada!
I realized after I gave it to her that I should've signed and dated it. Oops!
I decided on a mug rug using free pieced letters...I couldn't decide if I should do her name or "Read". It's been a while but it all came back to me...making letters is so much fun.

It's a lovely little mug rug. The colors are wonderful.
You can still sign and date it. That's what Sharpies are made for!
Great letters.
Cute! That backing fabric is great.
Lovely mug rug.
