Let's work on finishing some projects!

I hosted UFO Saturday last weekend and you can see that there was lots of sewing going on....plus a little chatting and laughter!
Dianne and Jane were working on their Cobblestone Path quilts....lots of vibrant colors for both.
Brenda was working on blocks for a local quilt shop's monthly challenge. She was whipping those out like crazy!
Laura worked on some 4 patch mug rugs for gifts for friends. She got a lot done as well.

Barb worked on her Ruby Shadow quilt pieces. She didn't get anymore blocks finished, but she got all of the hst and hourglass sections made so she is ready to start making blocks again. I can't wait to see this beauty finished.
Jane got all of her Cobblestone Path quilt sewn together. It just sparkles, doesn't it?

A little sewing...finally!

I haven't done much sewing the past few weeks, so it was fun to work on a small project the other day. I wanted to make a little quilty gift for the teacher librarian that helps all of us elementary library clerks in our school district (there are twelve!).
I decided on a mug rug using free pieced letters...I couldn't decide if I should do her name or "Read".  It's been a while but it all came back to me...making letters is so much fun.

Before I knew it, I had the letters for her name ready.
I added a little border and quilted it. I think I should've put a white border all around her name, but it was getting sort of big for a mug rug, so I didn't.

Tada!
I realized after I gave it to her that I should've signed and dated it. Oops!
