More randomness ...

Dianne has finished her Miss Tess quilt top...isn't it gorgeous? She is debating what to use for a border.
Barb's Which Way is Up? quilt is quilted and ready to give as a gift.

In case you missed Kerstin's post about her Against the Tide Mystery quilt, here it is in all its glory. I can't wait to see the other mystery quilts finshed!

Diana sent me this picture of her Spiderweb Stringpiecing quilt...she is almost finished!

Cindy brought this to S & B, our small quilt group, the other night. This is a quilt she was working on during our retreat. I don't know the pattern, sorry, but if you are interested I can ask her.

Do you ever get tired of kitty pix? Smokey was sitting quietly, watching me sew. Conrad jumped up beside her and started the tail swishing back and forth, back and forth....
in her face, over her back....he eventually left and she took a nap.
I'm sewing with my retreat group today...it's our mini retreat day! Are you having a quilty Saturday!

Classes and other stuff... well, just hexies I guess...

What happens when you start stringpiecing? Your strings seem to multiply and start leaping all over your table. These strings were much more orderly when they came in their box!
Saturday's Spiderweb Stringpiecing class went very well, with everyone getting lots of use out of their strings.

As you can see, everyone got at least one block finished and they all had parts of more done as well. I can't wait to see these quilts finished!

I got 3 more hexie flowers done and a couple more started.

Quilt finished....

I finished the Spiderweb Stringpiecing  Quilt the other day. The binding is on, even though it isn't on this picture.
Here is a close up of the back. This is the first time I have used this panto, but I like it. I got it last fall in DM.
I love stringpiecing...guilt free quilting.

A little too much excitement, but hopefully back to normal!

I received my giveaway prize from JoJo's Quilt Shoppe yesterday. What fun, I spread them out this morning so to better enjoy each and every beautiful fabric. Wow is all I have to say! Now what should I make with these.....
As you can see some are the animals from the park, some the florals, and some just plain fun!

We had a little too much excitement on Christmas. My dad fainted while we were preparing to eat. So we went to a local hospital to have him checked out. They referred us on to Creighton Hospital in Omaha. He has had most every test known to man, and about 10 Drs. conferring!  We are thankful he did not have a stroke or heart attack. They think it was a side effect to some medicine he started back in Aug. So they have changed 2 meds and he got to go home yesterday. He has felt good throughout his stay in hospital, no more fainting. So now we wait and see, I guess. My dad is an active 86 yr. old, so pretty much keeps on going.....lol!

I plan on getting back to sewing today, need to finish the spiderweb stringpiecing today. I just want to add a piano key border. I have many strips pieced at this point, just need to cut them into sections and sew them to the quilt.
