Monday blahs

Weekends sure go by fast don't they? I taught a tshirt quilt class on Saturday which went well. Yesterday I had to do some cleaning...it was pretty awful around here. I then quilted a small quilt I want to use for a class display. I haven't quilted anything for a few weeks so it felt good. I went to the Mid America Center in the afternoon to the HyVee Whole Health Experience. My daughter is a dietitian for HyVee, so she gave a talk on heart health. Lots of good info! There were also lots of vendor booths with lots of samples to take and try as well as cooking demos. After supper I did manage one more hexie. So the pile is growing....ok,so maybe 5 isn't a BIG pile, but it is a pile!

BTW, I don't know this little cutie, but he definitely looks like he knows it's Monday.

Just stuff...

I got the t-shirt quilt quilted yesterday, so now just need to bind it and it will be finished. I also went up and got the displays all ready to hang. I couldn't  hang them yesterday as I hang the displays over the cutting table and they were really busy cutting fabric the whole time I was there. I have classes to teach tonight and tomorrow night, so hopefully can get them hung then.

We only have school 2 days this week  and then off for a long weekend...I am so ready! I don't have any classes for a week or so either so hope to get something done here at home.

Busy class

It was a very productive UFO class yesterday...I posted the pix to my Flickr account (see sidebar).
After the class was officially over several of the ladies stayed a little longer and I stayed and worked on the T-shirt quilt I am making for someone. It is coming along nicely. I have the blocks all sewn together, and tried to pick out a border for it. I got one, but not sure yet if I will use it. I have several choices here at home too and not sure if I like them either. Decisions, decisions....
Two ladies worked on the Lone Star quilts started last week in class. Here is one of them. I can't wait for next Saturday when we meet again to see everyone's progress.
I need a bigger design wall!

Colin's Tshirt quilt finished!

It's packed up and ready to go to Seattle. I like the color when outside, just need a higher place to hang it.
Of course Mama Kitty was wondering what was going on...
Hmmmm....wonder what is going on back here?
Guess who......by the time I took it down they were both sitting on the swing under it. I should've taken a picture of that too.

T-shirt quilt

I have been working on this t-shirt quilt for my SIL this week. I got the t-shirts when I was out there last summer....yes, I am slow...so wanted to get it finished for his birthday next week. If you are reading this Angie, don't tell, I want him to be surprised when it comes. He has probably forgotten that I took them, it has been so long! He loves music so we decided to use some music prints and picked out a beautiful fabric with gold instruments on it for the border. I am off to sew these blocks together now and maybe get it finished today so I can quilt it.

Quilting finished

I finished quilting this quilt this morning...it is sure nice to be off today! I cleaned for awhile, but don't want to overdo THAT!
